1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using WinConvert ("the Software"), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not download or use the Software.

2. License Grant

WinConvert is provided free of charge under a personal, non-commercial, non-transferable, revocable license. You are granted the right to:

• Install and use the Software on any Windows device you personally own or control.
• Use the Software solely for personal, private, non-commercial purposes.

3. Prohibited Uses — Commercial Use is Strictly Forbidden

You may NOT use WinConvert for any of the following purposes without obtaining prior written permission from the developer:

• Use in any business, enterprise, organization, or commercial environment.
• Converting files as part of a paid service, SaaS product, freelance work, or client project.
• Integration into workflows that generate direct or indirect revenue.
• Redistribution, resale, or sublicensing of the Software or its output in commercial contexts.
• Use by employees, contractors, or agents of any company or organization.
• Automated batch processing for commercial content pipelines.

Violation of this restriction is a breach of contract and may result in legal action.

4. Intellectual Property

WinConvert and all associated materials are the intellectual property of their respective developer(s). You may not reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, modify, or create derivative works of the Software without explicit written permission.

5. No Warranty

WinConvert is provided "AS IS" without warranty of any kind, express or implied. The developer makes no guarantees about the accuracy, reliability, or fitness for a particular purpose. You use the Software entirely at your own risk.

6. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the developer shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from the use or inability to use the Software, including but not limited to data loss or corruption.

7. Security & Unsigned Software Notice

WinConvert is currently distributed without a code-signing certificate. Windows SmartScreen may display a warning when running the installer. This does not indicate malicious content. By proceeding past this warning you acknowledge that you understand the nature of unsigned software and accept any associated risk.

8. Third-Party Components

WinConvert may use third-party open-source libraries (including FFmpeg). These components are governed by their respective licenses. WinConvert's license does not override or supersede those licenses.

9. Updates & Changes

These Terms may be updated at any time. Continued use of the Software after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. It is your responsibility to review these Terms periodically.

10. Termination

Your license to use WinConvert terminates automatically if you violate any of these Terms. Upon termination you must immediately uninstall and destroy all copies of the Software in your possession.

11. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable law. Any disputes shall be resolved in the appropriate courts of the developer's jurisdiction.
